Fragomen
Deliver higher value immigration alerts to clients
The Challenge
Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy is the world’s leading immigration law firm. The Knowledge Team at Fragomen wanted to enhance its ability to produce client alerts about regulatory developments and changes in immigration law. High-value alerts identify strategic implications and demonstrate Fragomen’s critical thinking, thoughtful insights, and understanding of broader strategic issues. These alerts anticipate events, proactively answer questions about developments that may unfold, prescribe courses of action, and serve as a decision support tool that informs higher-level decision making by heads of Mobility, Travel, HR, and CXOs, as well as General Counsels.
Historically, when writing client alerts, analysts need to manually search multiple systems to find relevant information, such as past alerts, background reference information, and profiles of relevant attorneys.
The Solution
Mind-Alliance analyzed the current work processes in depth and designed a comprehensive system that will increase the value of Fragomen’s immigration alerts. The system ensures that analysts consider, and address, the priority information needs of readers. Analysts step into clients’ shoes and address the analytical questions each role is expected to have about the changes to specific areas of law. Alerts that answer these questions that will be of higher value to readers.
The software will help analysts work smarter and faster so they can produce high-value alerts more efficiently and consistently apply best practices. The MindPeer knowledge graph and matching engine will automatically display relevant content adjacent to a collaborative alert editing interface, obviating the need for manual searching, and provide easy access to past alerts, background information, and profiles of relevant SMEs. “The MindPeer knowledge graph technology will power automated matching to relevant content, enabling us to produce higher-value client alerts more efficiently and consider our readers’ needs for intelligence,” says Scott Leeb, the director of knowledge management at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP.
